With the coming of the first snow of the season, Benny and Ella ventured into the back yard to make our first snow angels and snow men. (Click on the picture to pop up a larger view.)
This picture of Ben feels like a glipse into the future. In it, I can see a 10 year old – even a 15 year old – boy looking at me. Strangely, I feel a hint of the sadness of losing the little boy that is here with me now.

This picture captures the pure beauty of watching childhood unfold for two little people that emerged two minutes apart from the same womb. There is an undeniable chemistry – a closeness and a love – that cannot be reproduced outside the womb. They seem to be whole only in relation to each other.
